Open Day Content
|AI Lab Visits||Visitors can look around and experience AI demonstrations developed by the Project’s research team under the themes of “AI for Living”, “AI for Art” and “AI for Fun”. Docents will introduce the AI technology used in each demonstration.||Cantonese/ English||30 minutes||20|
|Machine Learning Crash Course||Machine learning (ML) is the subfield of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that studies how computer systems can carry out complex processes by learning from data, rather than following pre-programmed rules. This workshop will leverage a story of a child who loves cooking to introduce the most essential ML basic concepts, and how to find a good ML solution. The workshop will also include a short hands-on project to solve a real-life problem using the knowledge just learnt.||Cantonese / English||2 hours 30 minutes||20|
|Introduction to AI Workshop||AI education is an emerging trend around the globe. Many local secondary schools realize the importance of AI education in the early ages. Yet, AI is difficult for students to understand, because it contains a lot of complex knowledge such as algorithm and programming. Join us to learn how to deliver AI education in a simple and easy way.||Cantonese||45 minutes||50|
|Experience AI with iCar||To provide entry level experience of AI, the Project’s research team developed iCar which equipped with various AI functions and used Blockly as programming language which is very suitable for beginners. Through this workshop, you can experience how to easily programme the robot car for different AI experiments.||Cantonese / English||1 hour 30 minutes||20|
|Introduction to Mechanical Tools||Apart from software support, hardware is also necessary to apply AI in daily life.
