Eligibility
Application Method
• Secondary 1 to 6 student in 2023/24 school year in Hong Kong and Macau (each team should consist of an instructor and no more than 5 students)
• Each school can present more than 1 team to the Competition

Competition Format

First Round
All participating teams are required to submit a proposal that aligns with the competition theme. The judging panel will shortlist 10 teams to the Final Round.
Final Round
Each shortlisted team is required to develop a prototype based on their proposal, give a presentation and demonstrate the prototype to the judging panel.

1Can participants form a team with students from different classes/forms?
Yes, participants can form a team with students from different classes/forms at the same school.
2Can participants form a team with students from different secondary schools?
No, all team members should come from the same school.
3Can S6 students join the Competition?
Yes, S6 students in 2023/24 school year are welcome to join this Competition.
4Is there any requirement for the proposal?
The written proposal must be written in Chinese or English and no longer than 10 pages (A4 size). Participants can also use the standard template provided for proposal writing.
5Can participants submit the proposal using other presentation means?
Each participating team is required to submit a written proposal. They may also supplement their proposal with other presentation means, such as presentation slides of no more than 20 pages, a video clip within 3 minutes or any other forms, where appropriate.
6Can participants use existing prototypes of their school to participate in the Competition?
Participants can use existing prototypes of their school after making a declaration. However, prototypes that have won other competitions are not suggested.
7Is there any limitation on the materials for prototype development?
No, participants can use any appropriate materials to develop their prototype.
