Together with Hong Kong Education City (EdCity), the Project successfully organized online E-learning Sharing Session on 15 April 2021 (Thursday) which attracted participation from over 220 local secondary and primary school teachers. At the Sharing Session, Project Principal Investigator and representative from EdCity shared about e-learning trend; while Project Pioneering Schools representatives shared their experiences and insights in AI Curriculum delivery via blended learning. Professor Thomas CHIU and Professor Savio WONG from The Faculty of Education of CUHK led a panel discussion themed “Achieve self-directed learning through Blended Learning” at which several speakers shared their views on the ways to utilize electronic resources for interactive lessons, and how to inspire students’ self-directed learning through blended learning. Participants actively participated in the discussions and exchanges and hoped to gain some insights from the Sharing Session.

Event Introduction

Face-to-face teaching, synchronous and asynchronous online teaching have become the “new normal” under the pandemic. Despite the Curriculum is still on-going, changes have been in place in learning, teaching and assessment. Does offering electronic learning materials mean practicing e-learning? How does effective and interesting e-learning reinforce?

CUHK Jockey Club AI for the Future Project, together with HKEdCity co-organize this Sharing Session and have invited representatives from Project's Pioneering Schools, AiTLE and HKACE to share their experiences in delivering our novel AI Curriculum via blended learning.

Professors from the Faculty of Education of The Chinese University of Hong Kong will moderate a panel discussion on the topic “Achieve self-directed learning through Blended Learning”, at which they will exchange views with speakers from local secondary and primary schools on teaching and learning experiences from blended learning; how to utilize electronic resources to inspire in-class activities; and how to inspire students' learning via blended learning.
